Created by a pharmacist and Paul Berthomé, an entrepreneur as Laboratoires Expanscience with the main goal of producing soap/milk for the sensitive skins of babies. The brand grew to become the reference in France and Europe for all sensitive skin needs.
We know the laboratory was created in 1950, but it's not exactly clear if Mustela was created at that time. The company is currently managed by the son of the founder Jean-Paul Berthomé.
